No fewer than seven gallant Nigerian soldiers have been reportedly killed by the terrorists of the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP).
Reports reaching Bibian Anekwe News at this time confirmed that at least four local vigilantes were also killed by the terror group at the Marte-Dikwa axis of Borno State.

The terrorists are said to have ambushed a military convoy travelling to Maiduguri from Marte on Thursday.
An IED planted on the road by the ISWAP terrorists reportedly blew up one of the military vehicles which are said to be escorting soldiers that were granted leave pass from Marte unit.

An intelligence operative told PRNigeria that the terrorists opened fire at other vehicles after their IED had already blown up one.

“One of the military vehicles stepped on the IED planted by the terrorists,” the military intelligence said.
He added: “The terrorists who were hidden around the spot opened fire at the other convoys, leading to the death of at least seven soldiers and four local security vigilantes who are part of the convoy,”

Bibian Anekwe News understands the attack happened just after the Nigerian Troops repelled ISWAP’s attacks at a military base in Malam Fatori in Borno State and Babangida Community in Yobe State.
