Senator Shehu Sani has reacted to the letter of ‘Notification’ sent to a radio station in Kano State by the State Hisbah Board over the tagging of Friday which is regarded as a holy day in Islam as ‘BLACK FRIDAY’.
Bibian Anekwe News understands that the Islamic police were ridiculed by members of the public after the official letter appeared on social media and news platforms.
Reacting to the letter, Shehu Sani in a post on her verified Twitter account on Friday, November 27 described Hisbah’s threats against the phrase Black Friday’ as nonsensical.
Senator Sani in his reaction said the comments by the Sharia police is ”nonsensical”.
”Friday is our sacred day of prayer as Muslims.Whatever colour is added to it doesn’t matter.Hisbah’s threats against the phrase’Black Friday’ is nonsensical.They should focus on the killings and kidnappings going on in their domains.Their services are needed in the battlefield.”he tweeted
