Suspected Cultist Stabs Mechanic To Death In Ogun

A notorious cult member in Ogun State has reportedly killed an automobile mechanic for allegedly blocking his way.

The victim whose name is revealed as Salaudeen Lawal was reportedly invited by one of his customers to help fix his vehicle which broke down along the road in Igbesa, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of the state where the accused allegedly attacked and used broken bottles on him.

Bibian Anekwe News learnt that the suspect whose name is revealed as Bobo had fled the scene after cutting Lawal’s vein with a broken bottle, accusing him of blocking the road.

Confirming the incident, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, told newsmen that an altercation ensued the two and that “Bobo broke a bottle and stabbed the deceased on his hand and cut one of the veins.”

He added, “Distress call was made to the police at Igbesa divisional headquarters and the DPO SP Abayomi Adeniji quickly led his men to the scene and rescued the victim to the hospital where he gave up the ghost while receiving treatment.”

Oyeyemi, however, noted that the force has arrested one of Bobo’s accomplices, adding that the arrested person is helping the police in their investigation.

On his part, the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun launched a manhunt on the culprit, urged residents of the community to remain, assuring them that the suspect would be arrested.

Meanwhile, a woman identified as Hausa Abdulsalam on the microblogging site, Twitter, has shared a video showing some police officers manhandling a hungry pedestrian for not wearing a face mask.
