One significant feature of the 2021 budget is a gradual diffusion of development from the rural areas back to the urban zone to stamp the innovativeness of Governor Ugwuanyi’s leadership reign as the applause for his political career, elasticity and accomplishments rises to crescendo. Having been remarkably registering the trademarks of his developmental strides in several rural areas of Enugu State all this while, Mr. Fulfillment decided to briefly concentrate on a timely expansion and remodeling of the Coal City; entrenching more peace, economic viability and more especially smooth, seamless and graceful traffic as the city grapples with a rising population growth.

As a budget partly necessitated by the excruciating effects of the ravaging Covid 19, the mindful technocrats at the helm of the affairs in Enugu State decided to include such smart projects like the establishment of Fertilizer Blending Plant and Cottage Rice Mill, completion of the construction of the ESUT Teaching Hospital, Igbo Eno, completion of the rehabilitation of Enugu Ezike General Hospital and construction of its Amenity Building, integration of Adada Water Scheme and rehabilitation of other water schemes in Enugu North Senatorial District, drilling more water boreholes with storage facilities for proper water reticulation across the state.
As characteristic of Gburu Gburu’s annual budget, both rural and urban road constructions remain integral to the formation of “The Budget of Recovery and Continued Growth” along with other innovative projects like the installation of Astro- turf and Tartan Tracks, floodlighting with associated works at Nsukka Stadium and the construction of more Type-111 Model Primary Health Centres in Oji River, Aninri and Awgu Local Government areas.
So, in essence, the creative governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi with his unique 2021 budget tagged ” The Budget of Recovery and Continued Growth” among every other purpose has a designed masterplan to plant various species of flowers of development and advancement from Nokpa, Nike to Ogrute in Enugu Ezike; from Orba in Udenu to Eke in Udi and across the nooks and crannies of the state. Therefore, while we wait for the ever considerate honourable legislators of Enugu State House of Assembly to do the needful by passing the budget articulated to attend to the yearnings of the people, with ease and grace as the people await to water the flowers.
