Save for vain debates better dished out to the Marines, no one is in a fuzzy grasp of the uniqueness of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, his exceptionality and his uncommon grasp of political functions and as a leader of men. A man of calculative dexterity, never given to showboating but gruffy in make up and gigantic in actualization of dreams.
Gov. Ugwuanyi is presently being celebrated as one of the cerebral governors who have stood out from the crowd, assessing economic changes, degree of security cool off and other governance laurels they have brought to bear in their states.
Gov. Ugwuanyi is a calm and listening leader. Those who were privileged to attend his presence gave varying testimonies of the brand of his level headedness and even keel in topical discourse. Ugwuanyi often time embarked on facultative trip bliss while engaging knotty issues of importance, just like the current uphill task of chairing Zoning Committee under his great party, PDP as many sceptics have strenuously dialogued.
What is however beyond banal bantering and very much precise, is that the grace-filled governor delights in performance and delivery.
His is in the genre of a leader who does not play to the gallery by scratching the surface only to bolt away.
Recently, Nigerians yet again witnessed intra-party restiveness and banditry exhibited by some disgruntled party stalwarts amongst the two pronounced political parties. Both APC and PDP currently ails in notable respect, though wise counsel appears to lend curative pills.
Even the judiciary particularly, the apex court has decried the embarrassment political cases have pelted the sacredness of her temple. The ease with which lower courts fall prey to political sharp practices by people who merely understand legal machinery, outrages tenets of social justice.
The apex court has now resolved to jealousy buffet her integrity and independence from intra-party shenanigans. Doors for exparte proceedings would now take several knocks coupled with besieging reasons unlike what obtains before. This is the sad reality we have advertently found our existence.
Granted, the dramas are incidents of pre-season election muscle flexing and display of political macho.
In a bid to broach this disgusting anomaly and stem the tides of self destruct, the party management recollected itself and recently took the bull by its horn, as it constituted Zoning committee for the nation’s oval office. The issues surrounding Zoning of the coveted office has been a subject of mounting controversy and threshold of mistrust amongst ethnic enclaves and party colouration. Every faction within the geopolitical configuration of the country lays claim to the heirship of the President’s seat. It is a hard nut which, if intelligently nay patriotically cracked, gushes national fruits propitiating every seared conscience and heals wounded souls. It has the capacity of erasing scars of yesteryears.
However, if hammered by the forces of parochialism and spite, the harvests are better imagined than experienced although we have plied this pavement with sufficent imprudence and the ricocheting imperatives live with us.
Be that as it may, narratives are meant to be rewritten just like change remains steady. Governor Ugwuanyi, a seasoned legislature and human resources management maven is equal to the job. His has the duty of reconciling this intractable differences and interests that have perilously snapped little unification gains made, and bifurcate us further and further. Nigerians expect from his Committee all embracing and well analyzed report dripping concern for inclusiveness, meritocracy and national integration. Gov.Ugwuanyi conceives best what Nigerians acutely bay for, he understands the need for justice and fair play as he has demonstrated in Enugu State. As great chivalry and champion of equity and good conscience, Gov. Ugwuanyi in our firm believe would be delivered of excellent job. History beckons!
