Rt. Honorable Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi have consistently confirmed that he is a man with the golden heart. A man whose milk of human kindness is not only legendary but second to none. One may have to argue that it is his responsibility to govern the people he took an oath to lead and should not be praised for doing what is constitutionally his obligations to the people.
Truth as this may appear, it is important to understand that contemporary leaders does not take the issues of looking after their subjects seriously. At best, they can only spare time to attend such functions that have capacity to boost their ego among top political leaders and cronies. Whoever would have imagined a Chief Executive Officer of a local government council let alone that of a state to attend to such mundane issues of showing serious concerns to other matters bothering the ordinary subjects of the society? Governor Ugwuanyi has come to show the light and indeed is confirming that leadership is what one makes out of making the people irrespective of class or position feel the impact of governance.

The people’s governor was in the news recently where he once again confirmed that he is a leader for both the rich and the poor or the downtrodden. The reputation of Enugu State as the most peaceful state took a nose dive recently when news filtered in that a certain octagenarian who goes by the name Chidi Onyishi have murdered his seven year old son in cahoot with a blind famed Prophet, Mr. Okeke Okwo for money ritual. What a heart rending and dastardly act!
Governor Ugwuanyi it was gathered upon hearing the sad tale not only visited the grieving mother of the slain son, Mrs. Augustina Ifebuchechukwu Eze to register his sincere condolence and displeasure over the sad incident, he also assured the mother of the deceased through his Special Assistant on Information, Mr. Steve Oruruo that government of Enugu State will support her and her other children to lessen their burden at this their trying moment. The reassuring words of the Governor was consolidated with a princely donation of five hundred thousand Naira to Mrs. Ifebuche. I’m certain that the governor would not have undertaken to take this action because he wants praises from the citizens but just so that he could demonstrate his innate character as a compassionate personae. But the Governor did just another remarkable act. He assured the citizens, that the law will definitely take it’s course via diligent prosecution of all those who may have a hand in the dastardly murder of an innocent child.
The grieving woman can only take solace in God’s consolation that His will would be done which coincidentally is what her Igbo name implies “Ifebuche Chukwu mee”

In another development, Gov. Ugwuanyi had earlier in the month November visited another family at Abakpa Nike where a man killed his pregnant wife and mother of three children over a little misunderstanding in their home. The allegedly drunk man, was alleged to have asked from the slain wife for his dinner which the woman could not provide due to the absence of any food in the house. The response of the wife was to have aggravated the drunk man’s anger, prompting him to beat his wife blue and black. The wife died afterwards from the effects of the violence meted her by her husband.
While at the premises of the bereaved family, governor Ugwuanyi again expressed his deep seated displeasure over incessant family feuds which has lead to avoidable casualties.
Again, he doled an undisclosed sum of money to console the bereaved family. Governor Ugwuanyi is truly a man with the golden heart and we are proud of him and will never be ashamed to chant that Enugu State is in the hand of God.

Bibian Anekwe News added; “There’s nothing better than meeting somebody with a great soul, and a great spirit and a good heart. Gov. Ugwanyi is that Man.”
