Real leaders understand that,the only way to stand out from the crowd, is to stand for something special.
This definition and disposition of Governor Ugwuanyi,not withstanding,has been credibly observed and confirmed by good people of Enugu State, as a reliable leader who meant business. And as a fount of peace,humility and love, His Excellency,Rt.Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi had engraved footsteps worthy of emulation. Will his successor(s) sustain the indelible legacies he had laid? An overwhelming question,for his would-be successor(s).
Prior, to the report by, London Times Newspaper, which categorized Nigeria as a failed state,Governor Ugwuanyi had not remained in the duck, as one,would wonder if Enugu State is in truth,a State in Nigeria. This is solely because the man in the helm of the State affair,had not discontinued in showing, a distinguished and firm commitment to both,in the area of lnfrastructural development,Agricultural improvement and reform,Health Sector revitalization, Entrenchment of relative peace and tranquility,Inclusive leadership. As luck would have it, paradigmatic progress has also been recorded in Manpower development, Repositioning of the State Security architecture,Job creation,Youth empowerment, Promotion of Tribal/Religious tolerance and amongst all,a commendable growth in the economy of the State, even as the country is battling with economic crises.
Truly, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi( MR FULFILMENT) is an aggressive project executor and a good legacy layer.
His speech at a familiarization visit in Achi in Oji River LGA of the State,left a reassuring hope and faith to his reliable and faithful subjects. In his heart warming speech,he maintained that he is a Governor not only for PDP but for all other party affliates who is passionate and supportive of a reformed Enugu State.
The encomium is enormous, even as the new Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps( NSCDC)extolled Gburugburu peaceful approach citing the subsequent upsurge in migration of people into Enugu State,as a result of the relative peace and calmness rifely, enjoyed by the people of the State.
Governor Ugwuanyi’s unfailing love for our Lord Jesus Christ and good people of Enugu State had in no small amount, endeared him to the culture of donating free buses annually, for conveying of the indigenes of the Enugu State,living at far distant States back home,to celebrate Christmas. The continually,displayed character not only qualifies him as a selfless shepherd, whose great concern is the welfare of his subjects but also as a father who enjoys the company of his children.
In one of the political debate I was a participant,the presenter asked; Why are some of the council chairmen not working assiduously? And my reply was; Which work would they do when Gburugbu has done virtually all the work including ones that they (Council chairmen) are constitutionally obligated to deliver?
Through the unrelenting perseverance of Governor Ugwuanyi( MR FULFILMENT) Enugu State has indeed,got back its historically,accorded place as an administrative heartbeat of the south east.
