Character is a considered a distinctive trait, attributes, quality or high moral values of a person. Scholars are quick to assert that in the pursuit of professional breakthroughs, one is bound to lose more than he or she thinks he or she has gained if high moral values or integrity is left behind.
Perhaps, character has much more to do in the definition of a total person. As a firm believer myself in character as a major ingredients in the determination of one’s purpose in life, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s life trajectories could be attributable to his positive attitude and character from his humble beginning.
It is important to stress that most people rose to prominent positions simply by believing in themselves, doing little things that matters, reaching and helping out others. And because nature and divinity have a way of propping up those with positive values in the society, it becomes important to strive to inculcate right values at all times. Those who always strive for peace and have the right interests of people around him or her will never depart from these values no matter their attainment in life.
A brief peep into the life of Rt. Honorable Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the Executive Governor of Enugu state today revealed that from his humble beginning as a lad in his native Orba in present Udenu council area of Enugu state until the time he ventured into politics, positive character has been his major push. As an altruistic individual, nature and the people have always readily rallied in his behalf to push him to higher level. Has he remained level headed despite his achievements in life? Sure he is and remains an embodiment of humility. Those who postulates that action speaks louder than voice may have had Lawrence Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi in mind. He believes that character is everything and allows that to speak for him.
Just smarting from his recent birth date anniversary on the 20th of March where friends and well wishers genuinely wished him well, reached out to the less privileged and the vulnerable in his behalf to align with his age long character and disposition in this regard, while lauding his uncommon values towards the governance of Enugu state, he moved swiftly to inspect the level of work at the just commenced fly over construction works at the popular Abakpa T junction and continued with the inspection and ascertaining of other critical areas in the urban center requiring quick government intervention. Sure, this is a true leader who leads from the front to confirm and seal his service compact with the led.
For, Gov. Ifeanyichukwu Ugwuanyi, ‘nothing pass God indeed’ and words would forever matter less where positive character is involved. Enugu state remains in God’s hands.
